Time: 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm EST on Zoom and in-person in Toronto

Ink to Audio is a paid audio drama creation program for emerging Toronto-based writers (18-30 years old), with priority given to artists from equity-seeking communities.

Participants develop a 5–10 minute original audio drama through a 12-week hybrid workshop series, recording sessions, and a public listening event. No prior audio experience is required.

This program will be led by writer Marcia Johnson (Serving Elizabeth, Binti's Journey, Perfect on Paper), and Laura Mullin and Chris Tolley from CBC’s PlayME Podcast, plus guest industry artists.

Who the program serves
Early- to mid-career writers, playwrights, and storytellers, with priority given to those who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, Deaf or disabled, 2SLGBTQIAP+, and/or face socio-economic barriers.

Participants receive a $300 honorarium and professional mentorship.
